Looking for a tough fixed blade knife?
Well Blackfire has one tough economically priced blade for you.
I reviewed the Blackfire Fixed Blade Knife with accessories and here is how it did.

Anymore these days you can’t buy much for under $20. Well at the writing of this review this knife on the Blackfire website is only $17.99. What can you get for that sweet deal? Well let’s first take a look at a list of the great features:
- BLADE: Double-edged stainless steel knife with fine point and serrated edges (5.5″ long).
- TIP: Spearpoint
- SHEATH: Puncture-resistant sheath carries knife and firestarter tools.
- COMFORT GRIP: Cushion-Grip™ handle
- BONUS: Flint Stick Fire Starter, Map Scale Tool, Bottle Opener, Tinder Scraper, 7mm Wrench
- Weight: 8.5 ounces

Right out of the package I found the grip to be sure and comfortable. The Comfort Grip affords a sure grip when wet, muddy or covered in blood from field dressing game. It also stays warmer in your hand than a plastic, steel or bone handled blade in the coldest part of winter. The end cap is quite strong and solid. It finishes off the knife’s handle quite handsomely too.

The stainless steel blade was razor shaving sharp out of the package. The serrated blade on the opposite side also was very sharp with just a few burs noticeable in the image below that came off quickly with use.

As a bonus a flint sparker tool (and Map Scale Tool, Bottle Opener, Tinder Scraper, 7mm Wrench) came with the knife. It throws hot sparks very nicely and certainly is a welcomed addition to any survival/EDC knife.

If lost in the woods this budget priced knife with accessories could save your life. Best of all it is all housed in the sheath ready for use when needed.

After testing the Blackfire Fixed Blade Knife I can attest it is a very sturdy tool that holds it’s edges well. I really like the flint sparker as an added bonus to this great knife. The handle is very comfortable and it feels great and balanced in the hand. For the money it is a great product that is hard to beat. Be sure to check out the Blackfire Fixed Blade Knife and all of the other great products on the Blackfire website.
