Ever try cooking in a pit?
Well this age old technique has many great benefits.
Check out this pit cooked meal that we can almost taste through the computer screen.
Hauling out pots and pans to your camping or bug out location might cause a major pain in your back. Why not let the hot coals of your campfire do all the work for you?
That is exactly the idea behind pit cooking. In this video shared by YouTuber Kent Survival we witness a meal cooked right. Pulled pork is on the menu and after awhile underground buried in hot coals it is cooked to perfection. How incredible is that!
I have used the pit cooking method in the past while camping especially for sweet corn still in the husks. The green husks steam the corn and after a short while you have a delicious meal. Give pit cooking a try and you might be leaving your cookware at home for your next wilderness adventure.
