I got a chance to test out the Titan Survival TACAMO SB10 Crossbody Tote Bag and here is how it did.
THE CLASSIC WOODSMANSometimes a kit is small enough to fit in a shoulder bag. A shoulder bag can then be lighter and handier to grab in an instant. It also is a lot less noticeable than a full pack when many eyes might be on you for the wrong reasons. Personally I always have been a big fan of the traditional shoulder bag for use as a wilderness wandering bag. Throw your lunch in there, along with you ever present survival kit and maybe a few creature comforts and out the door I go.

THE CLASSIC WOODSMANLet’s take a closer look at the features. The stitching and workmanship of this bag is top notch. On packs of any type I am a big fan of quality zippers. The loss of a firestarter or other such vastly important piece of gear should never happen. All of the main pockets (except the secret concealed carry back pocket) have heavy duty zippers. Never even lose one .22 cartridge or other tiny item with those tight fitting zippers doing their jobs right.
What’s this about a secret concealed carry pocket on the back? It certainly is a great place to stash a handgun out of sight. It also has another hidden form. Unbuckle the shoulder strap. See that button on the top of the bag’s extension? Well the extension can be folded down into that back pocket and buttoned. Now it is a smaller height belt bag. Incredible right? Notice the rubber non-skid surface on the back. This allows for a more positive retention to where you want it instead of sliding all over like a tradition shoulder or sling bag. A Velcro loop also allows attachment to where you want it most to a belt or other gear. Oh yes and the bag is ambidextrous too.
THE CLASSIC WOODSMANMOLLE straps for attaching more gear and a Velcro patch spot? You got that too. The more you examine this bag the more features you discover. Speaking of one very interesting one I found. The top part of the bag has a “stem” as I like to call it. It is actually an internal part of the bag that allows an even longer item to be put inside. Yes a 16″ .22 rifle barrel will indeed fit in this “stem”. Playing around with this feature will open you eyes to the many possibilities…
THE CLASSIC WOODSMANDuring testing I packed it out in the woods and it rode quite nicely even fully loaded. There is plenty of adjustment for the strap length and how you prefer to carry it. I tried the right side and then the left side carry and both work well. I do however prefer carrying it over my left shoulder for a right hand retrieval of the packs contents when needed. There are also drain holes in the bottom in case your boating trip takes an overturned outcome.
THE CLASSIC WOODSMANIn summary I found the Titan Survival TACAMO SB10 Crossbody Tote Bag to be incredibly useful for whatever you want to carry in the wilds or if the grid goes down.
